While this area is renowned for its olive trees and pepper fields, the conditions near Riolobos are also suited to tobacco cultivation. The resulting yield produces a thick, oily tobacco leaf with a signature intensity and complexity. This Havana-seed, Spanish-grown tobacco rests at the heart of every Macanudo Emissary España.

To bring forward the intricacies of this harmonious, five-country blend, our artisans have aged the tobacco in Macanudo Emissary España between 5 and 10 years. The Spanish tobacco, in particular, was aged for ten years — the optimal time to mellow and mature the tobacco. And each tobacco was carefully curated to create an elegant, exceptionally well-constructed cigar.
The result is a nuanced smoking experience characterized by notes of toasted cedar, almonds, and caramel.
